Wait, you said a channel requires registering my nick before I can talk, what does that mean?

It means that in order to talk in the channel, you have to register your nick with NickServ. This is not hard to do. First issue /msg NickServ REGISTER password email, replacing password with the password you wish to use to reidentify yourself the next time you come online and email with your email address. Be sure to used a valid email address as confirmation is required.

Once you disconnect and come back online at a later time, you'll have to identify yourself with NickServ each time. You can identify (also known as logging in) with NickServ by issuing /msg NickServ IDENTIFY password, replacing password with the password you first used when you issued REGISTER.

I'm still lost, any suggestions?

• Try looking on the forums or website of the game, plugin, etc. for the right place to ask help.
